Petaluma and surrounding areas (Healdsburg, Sonoma and Napa) are most commonly known for their wine.
Vast fields with no shortage in sight. A few of our favorites include Azari Vineyards (try their brick oven pizza), Truett Hurst,
Kunde Winery and Bartholomew Park Winery. Or simply drink your dessert at Sonoma Portworks.
Petaluma has been home to Lagunitas Brewery since 1994. It is now one of the most popular and largest craft
breweries in Northern California. Free tours are offered daily, and when you're done learning a thing or two
you can sit outside and enjoy their impressive beer garden. Russian River Brewing Co is another favorite.
Russian River Brewing is especially known for an extra hoppy batch of suds named Pliny the Elder.
Over the years, it has gained a cult-like following. And it packs a punch.
Aside from the wine, Petaluma also is known for it's extensive selection of local cheese.
Local creameries boast a wide array of flavors and styles that are sure to impress. Marin French Cheese Co
and Cowgirl Creamery are two of our favorites. Red Hawk from Cowgirl Creamery is certainly worth a dabble.
Northern California is home to a rugged and wild coastline. Exploring the area can easily take a lifetime.
Fortunately, you can get a good picture of what this landscape has to offer with a little stroll in one of the
many surrounding forests or beaches. Bodega Bay is only 15-20 minutes from Petaluma and has numerous
scenic overlooks for a good view of the Pacific Ocean. Helen Putnam Regional Park offers many trails to hike
or bike, dishing up some epic ridge-like views of the area. Muir Woods, although a little ways from Petaluma,
is a must see Bay area destination. A breathtaking maze of large, ancient redwoods stand tall here.
